"Dead body was found without signs of violence in a house in Mexico City, confirmed the prosecutor's office."

"Julian Figueroa, son of Maribel Guardia and the late Joan Sebastian, was found dead on Sunday, April 9th."

According to Guardia's announcement, the medical report indicated that her son had died from an acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation. Meanwhile, the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City reported that Figueroa's death was due to natural causes and ruled out any violent death or related crime.

Maribel Guardia, 63, who announced that the funeral service will be private, shared a statement confirming her son's death.

"I regret to inform you of the passing of my beloved son Julian Figueroa, who unfortunately left us on this plane. He was found unconscious tonight in his room while I was at the theater. They called 911 and when the ambulance and police arrived, they found him already deceased, without any signs of violence," says the post by the renowned Costa Rican artist, shared on the morning of April 10th.

"The Figueroa family is shattered by the sudden death of the singer," said Marco Chacón, the current partner of Maribel Guardia, in an interview with several media outlets upon his arrival at the airport.

"We are shocked, we are in shock, personally I can't believe it, I spent all night arranging things with different people. It is something unexpected and the truth is that I don't have much to say, I am not well and the words don't flow for me," Chacón explained. "I have been with him since he was two years old, I have accompanied him in all stages of his life, and it is crazy that he has passed away so young."

Chacón also denied any known previous illness. "Nothing. He had COVID recently, but he was fine, generally speaking," he said, adding that his partner, Maribel Guardia, is devastated, which is why she has not appeared in front of any media since the news was announced.

Julián is the third son of Joan Sebastian to pass away, previously his sons Trigo Figueroa in 2006 and Juan Sebastian in 2010.

The 28-year-old artist was found dead in a house in the Jardines del Pedregal neighborhood in the Mexican capital. Joan Sebastian's son was the father of a 3-year-old boy named José Julián, along with his partner Imelda Garza.

At 2:42 a.m., a funeral procession departed from the residence with the body, reported Univision Espectáculos.

The young actor and singer had released several albums, including "Julián Figueroa and his band." His musical hits include songs like "La trampa," "Yo sería," and "Cómo olvidar."

The son of "El Rey del Jaripeo" began playing the guitar at the age of 8. Later, he studied singing and musical composition. Julian also had an acting facet and appeared in productions such as "Mi camino es amarte" and in the biographical series of his father "Por siempre Joan Sebastian," according to Reforma.

His last message on Instagram was shared on April 8, the day that would have been Joan Sebastian's 72nd birthday. The message reads: "To hell with the Grammys, fame, and money, because my only desire is to hug you... once again."
